You must be wondering that it is another fancy foodie event and being a homechef, you must be thinking that it is not really your cup of tea to be involved with World Gourmet Summit 2016 (WGS). Then I guess you are wrong.
This year is the 20th anniversary for WGS and we couldn’t be any happier to have it right in the downtown area of this melting pot of Asia. Team Cultlinary is glad to be part of this annual event. Last week, Alvin and Vasellia went down for the Opening ceremony and it was a great success! (the photos will tell you so!)
We had the chance to meet up with May from Lee Kum Kee and together with the creative Chef John, we spoke about how many chefs are using Lee Kum Kee sauces for non-Chinese cuisine! We found out that Lee Kum Kee is slowly gaining popularity in South Africa! Oh! And Chef John used the shrimp paste to deep fried his beef! So Yummy!!
Just look at these macaroons, they were made with Lee Kum Kee plum sauce! I need to grab that recipe from Chef John!
We realised that the latest trend right now is making flavoured foam like this.
Thai food with some of its commonly used ingredients.
We love these matcha ice cream cones with smoked salmon! Simply irresistible!
We were very intrigued just by looking at how different chefs plate their dishes. Also, we love their choice of ingredients.
Did we mention we scored an interview at WGS? We will post the video once it is up!
After looking at all these food, don’t you think you should visit at least one of the participating restaurant?
Now we are upset that we can’t get any reservation for this Tea-inspired 5-course dinner! I love how the tea-inspired dishes are paired with a different craft beer! This delectable menu is making us regret for procrastinating so long!
Don’t wait anymore! Click here http://www.worldgourmetsummit.com/wgs2016/main.php to check the full listing for this year WGS! (not many seats left!) Go grab it now!
