This year, we will be heading down to Hong Lim Park again (as usual) to give out free food for everyone! This is probably the biggest Pinknic event in Singapore! In case you didn’t get it… it’s Pink + Picnic = Pinknic!
For those who do not know what Pinkdot is, just imagine yourself being surrounded by the happiest people, gathered to celebrate the freedom to love – no discrimination, no judgment, just love.
Last year, I was with my friends at Hong Lim Park to share the love by giving away food to complete strangers who also attended Pink Dot! Yes! That is the Fisherman’s Pie from Cultlinary 1st Episode! Caring is sharing. This is the best opportunity for home chefs to cook and bake their favourite dishes to share with people!
And because you should never wok alone, Cultlinary will be there to show our support too!
This year Cultlinary made a special video for Pink Dot. I was motivated to make this video after I saw the Pink Dot video this year about Rose & June.
We hope to cook for Rose one day! Meanwhile this is Vanilla Cupcake with Pink Rose Swirl Buttercream. Specially for you Rose!
Special thanks to the following for making this video possible:
- Recipe Contribution: Shirlene Ang, talented home baker Instagram: @shirlytwirly and email at Twirlybakes@gmail.com
- Videography and editing: Glenn Lim, professional photography at Instragram: @glenn_lim and www.glennlimweddings.com
- Kitchen Location sponsor: Alex Tan
- Pink Dot Plush Toy: Park Royal Hotel for loaning us Pink Dot as our special guest!
Last year when I was in Taipei, it was Pink Dot Taiwan! My very good friend, Micky (@mimicitaxoxo) who is a very talented baker decided to contribute a recipe for Cultlinary and Pink Dot this year! Thank you for this long distance collaboration with Sieg Cafe from Taoyuan in Taiwan, to create a simple recipe for those who do not have an oven!
Familiar? Yes we did an episode to bake Pop Over (Try baking it for Pink Dot)! Micky went to dye her hair pink ash for Pink Dot! Thank you Micky! We can feel your love in Singapore!
Help us spread the love too by bringing your own pink creation! Let’s make this Pinknic the biggest one yet!
Below are some of the “pink” food/drinks you can bring for this Pink Dot this Saturday:
Something as easy as making your own Bandung!
TeowChew Glutinous Rice Dumpling aka Png Kueh
If you have no time to cook/bake, grab a few of these from your neighbourhood!
What’s a celebration without alchol?! Cool down with some pink bubbly and happily toast with your friends.
Pink Dragonfruit, Strawberry Ice Cream and the list goes on and on!
Of course bring “Pink” food is fun and we would like to suggest some Cultlinary own’s recipe which is suitable for this Pinknic!
Our Favourite Nasi Lemak Onigiri!!!
Another hot favourite Mak & Cheese!
Check out the other recipe on our Cultlinary YouTube Channel.
Besides food, you need to dress up in Pink too!
If you do not have Pink Dot plush toy….
Bring these two cuties along!
Remember to come down to Hong Lim Park this 4th June 2016 from 3pm onwards!
We will see you there! Click on our Facebook event to let us know that you are going!
Celebrate the Freedom to Love and Never Love Alone!
